(June 23, 2018) – Aspire’s 7th annual First Taste of Summer event on June 23rd at the Aspire Careers and Living headquarters in Hillside was a celebration of inclusion.

Together, thanks to the support of over 320 attendees, top sponsors Admiral Heating and Ventilating and Leopardo Companies, countless volunteers, including our friends at Medix and BFO, and most importantly, event hosts Marc and Ben Adelman, we raised over $24,000 for Aspire’s Careers and Living programs.

These funds will help the adults with disabilities in our Careers and Living programs further their independence and become included members of our shared Chicagoland community. Adults like James Manning, who we celebrated on Saturday for all his accomplishments thanks to his hard work with his Aspire team!

An additional thanks is owed to all the amazing vendors who ensured the evening was a success: Karetas Brewing provided delicious drinks, Firehouse Subs of Stone Park provided savory sandwiches, and Flowers for Dreams provided beautiful blooms!

Thank you for supporting the inspiring and innovative work our Careers and Living teams are accomplishing to build a more inclusive Chicagoland community.

Be sure to check out all the highlights via our Facebook album here! A big thank you to our photographer, CrispyClean Photo for capturing these moments.
