At Aspire, we believe inclusion means creating space for people with disabilities to grow, connect, and pursue what brings them joy. Our Life Enrichment in-person academies offer engaging opportunities like joining the Aspire dance team and performing out in the community, singing in the choir, practicing skills for an upcoming Special Olympics tournament, visiting local farms and museums, and volunteering out in the community.
Held in a welcoming daytime setting, our academies are designed to inspire confidence, foster friendships, and support lifelong learning for adults with disabilities. With the wide variety of classes and experiences offered, we’re helping people build the skills that enrich their lives, all on their terms.
Aspire’s Life Enrichment Service topics include but aren’t limited to:
Be creative with projects that focus on the arts. This includes sound, movement, performance, and visual arts.
Connect with people in the local community by volunteering or joining a club.
Learn how computers can be a fun and educational tool. Explore the internet, playing games and meeting virtually.
Practice everyday skills. These range from doing the laundry and cooking to shopping and managing money.
Discover different ways to be strong, flexible, and balanced. Our focus here is both physical and mental.
Grow plants for relaxation, care for other living things, and try new foods.
Engage the senses using sound, texture, and light. This includes listening to music, massage, and aromatherapy.
