(April 9, 2018) – Aspire’s Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Career Academy has been named a finalist in Fast Company’s 2018 World Changing Ideas Awards.

In its second year, the World Changing Ideas Awards celebrates businesses, policies and nonprofits that are poised to help shift society to a more sustainable and more equitable future. Of over 1,400 entries by great organizations across the globe doing amazing things, only 17 percent were selected as finalists – and Aspire was among them! We are honored to be recognized as an organization with some of the most innovative ideas across an international landscape. Our work in creating opportunities to include kids and adults with disabilities in our communities continues to resonate with a growing audience.

Each year, Aspire continues to push the envelope in terms of what is possible for kids and adults with disabilities. We are immensely grateful to the Weinberg Foundation and to our Careers team for paving the way for this recognition. Their commitment to the people Aspire supports and the idea that more can always be achieved is what drives us to continue breaking barriers and building communities where people of all abilities live, learn and grow together.
