Direct Support Professional Job Overview

Direct Support Professionals support adults within the Community Living Homes at Aspire. Aspire’s Community Living Homes provide a friendly, family-like environment for adults with disabilities who want to live with others, while receiving ongoing person-centered services. In collaboration with the Community Living Team Leaders, the Direct Support Professionals respond to the unique needs and goals of each resident so that meaningful life experiences can be realized. This important role also assists individuals with daily activities and encourages attitudes and behaviors that support community inclusion. Direct Support Professionals advocate for each individual in communicating their needs, self-expression and goals while at home and out in the community. Apply Today!   • High School Diploma or GED
  • Associate’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Special Education or a related field (preferred)
  • 1 year experience working with individuals with intellectual and other developmental disabilities (preferred)
  • Ability to work in a professional manner with people with disabilities, team members and community members – all while embodying the Spirit of Aspire (a.k.a. TIE – Teamwork, Integrity, Excellence!)
  • Valid Illinois Driver’s License with a good driving record; ability to maintain PACE certification

Personal Assistant Job Overview

While maintaining outstanding customer service, PA’s will provide care, support, and supervision to all participants. This will be done through Teamwork. Integrity. Excellence. Position Responsibilities: Knowledge and implementation of Individual Service Plans (ISP), Behavioral Enrichment Plans (BEP), and health directives. Engage participants in meaningful activities. Work on behalf of participants to overcome any barriers keeping them from achieving success. Provide assistance as needed during transition times. Keep Facilitator and other needed team members informed of success, struggles, risks, etc. that involve the participant. Apply Today! Personal  Assistant The ideal rock star candidate has:

Life On My Own Life Consultant Job Overview

Life Consultants, in partnership with participants, families, and others invested in the individual develop and encourage all aspects of each person’s plan to transition to living on their own. Assure a safe and comfortable home environment where each person can be motivated to achieve all of his/her goals toward independence. Conduct meetings and check-ins with participants while maintaining proper documentation to help with participant growth and independence. Apply Today! Life Enrichment Facilitator Job Overview

Collaborate with the Life Enrichment team and community partners to develop and implement curricula designed to enhance learning experiences for adults with intellectual disabilities in areas that include science discovery, art exploration, music/dance expression and more. If you want to be part of someone discovering their purpose and talents, the Life Enrichment Facilitator would be a great fit. Develop and implement syllabus, lesson plans, and teaching materials for subject area(s). Provide supervision and work together with Personal Assistants/Director Support Professionals in the classroom. Career Specialist Job Overview

The Career Specialist supports adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to achieve and retain competitive and community-based employment in inclusive work environments. Under the direction of the Associate Director of Careers, the Career Specialist collaborates with an integrated training and employment team to prepare individuals for job placement and provides supports that promote retention. Career Specialists also assist in the execution of inclusive employment consulting engagements under the direction of the Career Placement Manager, working with employers to build embracing and inclusive environments.
