Aspire is thrilled to announce that, after many months of careful planning and working with our wonderful partners, our new, state-of-the-art Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Career Academy is officially OPEN!

Nearly 200 friends, families, and supporters of Aspire joined us October 19th for the grand opening of Aspire’s new career academy. Guests enjoyed light food and refreshments as they toured the brand new space and learned more about the life-changing impact it will have for people with disabilities, allowing them to pursue their career passions, participate in the economy, and build more meaningful and rewarding lives. To view more photos from the event, check out our Facebook album here!

The Academy works with job seekers in a fully equipped 10,000 square foot facility to explore job interests, provide hands-on training in simulated work spaces, and place students in rewarding and meaningful jobs. By partnering with companies in the community, we are able to assist corporations with their recruiting efforts and find the perfect fit for both the employee and the employer.

The Academy provides training in six industries: Food Service, Hotel & Hospitality, Fitness Center Administration, Office Management & Information Technology, Retail, and Warehousing & Distribution.

For those interested in experiencing a tour of the space or learning more about any of our career-related initiatives, contact our Careers department via email at careers@aspirechicago.com, telephone at 708.547.3560, or visit us online at aspirechicago.com/careers.

A HUGE thank you to all those who attended the opening, as well as all of our amazing partners who helped make this dream a reality: The Coleman Foundation, Designs for Dignity, First Nonprofit Foundation, and obviously the Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation, along with many others!
