(February 24, 2018) – Aspire’s 20th annual Big City Night “Ain’t Misbehavin” gala motivated guests with a unique mission of inclusion. Thanks to the support of over 430 attendees, presenting sponsor Walgreens, and numerous other sponsors and friends of Aspire, we broke fundraising records and raised over $355,000 for our mission.
Guests were transported back to the lively sounds of the Jazz Age for an evening of dinner, dancing, and the big band greats at Chicago’s historic Palmer House Hilton hotel. Funds raised from the evening will lift up the nearly 1,000 kids and adults with developmental disabilities we serve each year. They’ll help people like Jim improve their independence and excel in their careers. They’ll ensure kids like Jacob are able to continue making strides in achieving new developmental milestones. They’ll encourage Aspire CoffeeWorks employees like Alicia and Kaled (pictured below) to set and exceed new professional goals.

Most importantly, we’ll help build inclusive communities in Chicagoland where people of ALL abilities can live, learn, and grow together.
