Aspire’s Summer Highlights

Summer is in full swing, bringing plenty of sunshine, new adventures, and meaningful moments across the Aspire community. Over the past two months, we’ve celebrated milestones, explored new opportunities, strengthened connections, and embraced all the joy this season has to offer.

As part of our bi-monthly updates, we’re excited to continue sharing stories, updates, and highlights from across Aspire. Whether it’s celebrating achievements, recognizing the people who make our community so special, or looking back on memorable moments, we’re grateful to have you along for the journey.

Here’s a look back at everything that made June and July so memorable at Aspire:

Alice in Wonderland Ballet

Congratulations to all of the Aspire dancers + the Creative Expressions team who brought Alice in Wonderland to life on June 11-12 at the Al Larson Prairie Center for the Arts in Schaumburg! After months of rehearsals, costume and prop creation, and meticulous attention to detail, our talented cast took the stage for two unforgettable performances filled with creativity, confidence, and joy.

We are so proud of every dancer for sharing their talents and hard work, and for reminding us of the incredible things that are possible when passion, perseverance, and community come together!

Academy Art Shows

Creativity was on full display during the Outta This World Art Show! The event transformed our space into a colorful gallery, showcasing incredible artwork created by the people we support while celebrating the imagination, talent, and unique perspectives of each artist.

We also enjoyed games, face painting, and opportunities to win prizes, making it an afternoon filled with creativity, laughter, and community. It was a wonderful celebration of artistic expression and the many ways creativity brings people together!

Susanna Farms Visit

A favorite summer tradition returned with another visit to Susanna Farms! Surrounded by nature, we spent the day meeting friendly animals, exploring the farm, and enjoying hands-on activities that encouraged curiosity, learning, and adventure.

From making new discoveries to sharing laughs with friends, the day was filled with memorable moments and meaningful connections. We always look forward to returning to this special place and creating even more memories together.

Academy Galas

Academy North and Academy South welcomed the summer season with our annual Tropic Like It’s Hot Gala! Friends came together to enjoy a delicious meal, music, games, prizes, and plenty of laughter as we celebrated the start of another exciting summer.

From sharing burgers, cake, and refreshing treats to spending the afternoon outdoors connecting with one another, the day was filled with smiles, friendship, and unforgettable memories. It was a wonderful reminder that some of the best moments are the ones shared together!

SOAR 2026 National Dance Competition

The Creative Expressions and Aspire Dance Teams took the stage at the SOAR 2026 National Dance Competition, showcasing months of dedication, creativity, and hard work. From inspiring solo performances to energetic group routines, every dancer performed with confidence, passion, and joy.

Their commitment paid off in an incredible way, earning multiple first-place honors and plenty of well-deserved celebrations! We couldn’t be prouder of our dancers for representing Aspire with such talent, determination, and heart.
