Aspire’s End of Summer Highlights

Fall is here, bringing crisp autumn air, colorful leaves, and a season full of new opportunities and meaningful moments across the Aspire community. Over the past two months, we’ve celebrated exciting milestones, made lasting memories, strengthened friendships, and welcomed new possibilities together.

As part of our bi-monthly newsletter, we’re excited to continue sharing the stories, celebrations, and everyday moments that make Aspire so special. From personal accomplishments and new experiences to the people and connections that bring our community together, there’s so much to celebrate as we embrace the season ahead.

Here’s a look back at everything that made August and September so memorable at Aspire:

Chicago Boomers Baseball Game

Both Aspire academies came together for an exciting day at the Chicago Boomers baseball game, cheering from the stands, enjoying time with friends, and making memories together! The fun didn’t stop there, as Aspire’s dance team took the field for a special performance, showing off their moves and bringing even more energy to the ballpark. It was a home run of a day filled with friendship, teamwork, and plenty of Aspire spirit to go around!

We are so greatful to the Chicago Boomers for hosting all of us, and we cannot wait to go back!

Lambs Farm Paint and Sip

Both our academies came together for a fun-filled night at Lambs Farm for a Paint & Sip! Artists had fun putting their skills to the test, creating unique pumpkin paintings, and enjoying each other’s company. It was such a wonderful evening, and the paintings are the perfect decorations for fall!

Lake County Fair Fun

A favorite summer tradition returned with another visit to the Lake County Fair! Surrounded by friends and different fun experiences and activities, the day was packed with nothing but smiles and laughter.

We always look forward to a day spent with friends, especially when we get to be outside at the fair!

Circus Day Workshop

Our friends at Academy North stepped right into the spotlight during a fun-filled Circus Day Workshop! Led by Dan Roberts, Aspire’s Chief Program Officer, the afternoon brought plenty of excitement as people tried their hand at juggling, spinning and balancing plates, tossing flower sticks, and playing with colorful scarves.

Beyond the laughter and excitement, each activity offered a chance to explore new talents, build confidence, and celebrate personal accomplishments. It’s moments like these that remind us how meaningful it is to have opportunities to try something new, connect with others, and discover what’s possible!

Morton Arboretum Visit

A beautiful day surrounded by nature, creativity, and community! During a late summer visit to the Morton Arboretum, members of the Aspire community enjoyed exploring colorful gardens, admiring unique works of art, and spending time together outdoors. Experiences like these create opportunities to discover new interests, strengthen friendships, and make meaningful memories while exploring all that our community has to offer!
