Grace’s Story: More than a Job

For many adults with disabilities, finding meaningful employment can be one of the biggest challenges after leaving school. Despite having the skills, motivation, and desire to work, too many people struggle to find employers willing to recognize their potential.

Grace knows that challenge firsthand.

Known for her energy, sense of humor, and love of connecting with others, Grace spent years searching for the right opportunity. Through Aspire, she found a pathway to employment and a team that believed in her abilities.

Today, Grace works as a barista with Canteen at the Bank of America tower, a job she genuinely loves. She takes pride in her work, enjoys the relationships she has built with coworkers, and looks forward to going to work each day.

Employment has done more than provide a paycheck. It has helped Grace build independence, manage her own expenses, secure health insurance through her employer, and create the future she always dreamed of.

Her story is a powerful reminder that when people with disabilities are given access to opportunity, meaningful employment can be truly life-changing.
